Gearbox have brought out some excellent games in the past, most notably the Borderlands saga. But what I've especially appreciated is their ability to go beyond the nuts and bolts of game design and control schemes are really get a little world building going on in their titles. Their latest offering, the FPS-MOBA Battleborn, is getting a series of "Motion Comics" to kick of the new adventure with some backstory. Basically the Motion Comics are short videos that play like you would read a comic. It really fits in the whole Gearbox fashion of storytelling, and sets the stage for the new game which releases next week on May 3rd.
Battleborn will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC. You can see the first of the three comics below or check out the others on the official website.
