Well, looks like the folks at Harmonix have finally announced that one of the largest missing pieces for Rock Band 4 will finally be coming for the 2016 Holidays….Online Multiplayer. In an announcement on the blog coinciding with PAX East last week, the dev team will be working to put the finishing touches on the Online Multiplayer in time for the Holiday 2016 season, with a release date to coincide with large expansion pack that is planed around the same time. That fall expansion will set the table for the Online Multiplayer, but that will not be the only major component to the release, with the tease of new features that the Rock Band franchise hasn’t seen yet.
As for the online multiplayer, it looks like the devs will be working on a way to allow for the fair choice of songs, something that wasn’t always a fun part of Rock Band 3 with one person having final say.
Look for more info to drop in a few weeks at E3 around these new Rock Band 4 features and a more narrow release date for the fall expansion and online multiplayer availability.
