So, in my quest to figure out this whole Fallout 4: Wasteland Workshop thing, I'm tweaking some stuff happening in my arena. So far, the results have been poor. I went straight to the top and tried getting a Deathclaw and a Yao Guai to fight. It worked, but my settlers act like it's Real Life and start attacking the Deathclaw and Yao Guai, too. It's not good.
This time, I scaled down. All the way down. I set up two cat traps in the arena. Let's get some cat fights going, and see if my settlers chill a little bit and just enjoy the show rather than tossing Molotovs into the arena. Well, as the video shows, I open the doors on the cat traps and...
Nothing. The two cats stroll out on opposing sides of the arena and just sort of do nothing. They look around. They lick their paws. The meow a couple times. Hey, at least the settlers are fine and don't start capping the cats, which is halfway what I expected to happen. The folks at Sunshine Tidings Co-op are off their meds. But no, nothing was happening. So, ever the showman—and the show clearly must go on (the stands are full of hardworking settlers that came here for a show—I run back over to the other switch and send in another trapped Deathclaw and Yao Guai.
The Deathclaw and Yao Guai come out, there's growling and snarling and then, immediately—because of course they do—my settlers attack the Deathclaw and the Yao Guai from the stands. Pipe pistol bullets, grenades, etc. Most of the grenades and Molotov cocktails just go off in the stands. It's another cluster. It's ridiculous.
But then the combatants go down, everyone stops firing, and I go down to see what happens when the dust settles. And what do I see? Well, one creature was left standing. One of those creatures is minus one of its nine lives, but one survived.
Looks like I've got to tear this arena down to the foundations and rebuild. I don't know what I did wrong, but my settlers just ain't having it when the beasts come out to fight. So I don't know. I'll figure something out.
