Hyrule Warriors Legends is nearly upon us, and the latest character trailer features the game's most talked-about hero: Linkle. A little sister type character who is inspired by Link to join the fight, she takes up dual-wielded crossbows and appears to be one of the most dangerous ranged-type warriors in the game.
With all the fuss and bluster about the supposed lack of diversity in games and the gaming community, I think Linkle's inclusion is much ado about nothing. Especially in a game like Hyrule Warriors legends where a huge chunk of the playable cast are strong female characters like Zelda, Fi, Midna and even oddball characters like Princess Agitha. Linkle should be judged on her own merits as a character and a fighter, not as some female Link palette swap.
