It's Pokemon's 20th anniversary this year (tomorrow to be precise) and so far we've seen a new Pokemon-themed 3DS, Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow get released on the Nintendo 3DS's Virtual Console, and even a Pokemon commercial during the Super Bowl. All we need now is a new game to add to the franchise, right?

During today's Nintendo Direct, Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon were announced for a release later this year around the holiday season. Along with being able to play the game in nine different languages within the game itself, you'll also be able to bring in Pokemon from other games via the PokeBank, including Pokemon X and Y, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and even the Virtual Console versions of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow! As far as I'm aware, I think this may be the first time a 3DS game will have any connectivity to a Virtual Console game.
