Spike Chunsoft's fantastic visual novel Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is going to be available to a wider audience now as it's coming to Steam next month.
Previously only available on the Vita, Danganronpa is 999 mixed with Battle Royale as a group of classmates find themselves trapped in their school and forced to play a deadly game to be able to escape. How do they win? Kill each other of course as only the last surviving member of the class can graduate and escape. There is of course tons more to the story than that but I won't say anything else as everyone should experience this story on their own.
Anyone who pre-orders on Steam will also receive the games soundtrack, which is phenomenal.
The more people that get to play these fantastic games, the better in my opinion. I sat down with Danganronpa one night and the next thing I knew it was 5am in the morning. No joke, I completely lost track of time because of how addicting the story was. It's filled with fantastic characters, an incredible soundtrack and enough twist and turns to keep you on your toes. The story throws tiny bits and pieces of the bigger picture at you constantly to keep you hooked and keep you playing.
No word yet if the other sequels Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair or the third person shooter Ultra Despair Girls will make it to Steam but I would assume they want people to get a chance to play them since New Danganronpa V3 comes out later this year for Vita and PS4.
