My first appointment on Thursday of the show was with the folks at Optoma to check out their new projectors and the audio lineup from their recent acquisition of Nu Force. I recently reviewed their HD28DSE projector, so I was curious what they were brought to CES.
At the booth, they were showcasing the HD28DSE, but in addition they had a nice little PICO projector in the ML750ST short thrown model. It sports 700 lumens, 20000:1 contrast and 1280x800 WXGA, all less than one pound. It also used LED light source, so no lamps to replace. The image was bright and clear, so with the size and HDMI input, it is definitely a useful projector for business or even on –the-go gaming.
However, I was most surprised to find a batch of audio products from their recent acquisition of the NuForce brand. The had several of their component amps and preamps on display along with their entire lineup of earbud headphones. These are what really caught my attention, as they have sleek designs, are rugged and in the case of the BE6, are Bluetooth wireless. I was impressed with the overall design, and hope to get a pair of the BE6 and possibly the HE and NE line up in for review.
