What We're Playing: Need for Fallout

More On: What we're playing

Play an EVE Online mini game to advance medical science. Project Lead departs and Torment: Tides of Numenera is delayed from 2015 to 2016. And a new Star Trek TV series launches in 2017.

What are you playing this weekend?

I'll be working more on Brigador and attempting to improve my abilities to control a mech in third person. Personally, I prefer first-person, but, then again, it's hard to beat Steel Battalion and its giant cockpit controller. I'll probably work on Tales of Zestiria some more. I've been wanting to get into the Tales series, and I've played a bit of Tales of Vespiria, but I'm enjoying Zestiria a lot, though the combat system takes some getting used to.

This week I'll be focusing completely on controlling Lara Croft through many dangerous areas as I do a review for Rise of the Tomb Raider. In my time away from the game, I'm sure I'll hit my dailies on Destiny and partake in a little FIFA 16 on the side.

I just wrapped up Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith on GOG, so I'm moving onto one of my favorites, Jedi Outcast. I forgot just how difficult Sith was; back in the '90s, when they developed expansion packs, they assumed that you had beaten the original game on expert mode and would therefore be up to more of a challenge. Mysteries of the Sith really puts your mastery of the Force to the test, but I still highly recommend it.

Now that I'm done with Assassin's Creed Syndicate, I'll probably move back into Assassin's Creed Unity. I don't know what happened, but suddenly I can't seem to get enough Assassin's Creed. I'm still knee deep in a hardcore playthrough on Diablo III as well, so if I decide to take a break from Assassin's Creed, I may move carefully back into Diablo, even though the stress of hardcore is probably shaving years off of my life.

Jeremy Duff, Senior Staff Writer, @Duff3c
I don't even know where to begin this weekend. I just wrapped up Need for Speed and Guitar Hero Live for review, so now I am getting into the games that got bumped in favor of those two. The first thing on my list will be the first two episodes of Minecraft: Story Mode. I played a bit of the first chapter and loved the comedic take on the series; it suits the world so well.

I'm 35 hours into my review of Fallout 4. We'll post the review Monday, bright and early. That's all I'm allowed to say about that. Out of a sense of duty to myself, I'm still plucking away at Rocksmith. I haven't felt any major gains in my skill level recently, but that's no one's fault but mine. I've been devoting the majority of my time elsewhere. Once my Fallout 4 review is in the bag, I'll tear myself away from that (wish me luck) and dive back into my review of Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition. While not all of it is useful, I appreciate all the wow-you-can't-do-this-in-any-other-role-playing-game types of things you can do. And the A/B conversations I'm having with my dual protagonists are great.
