Plex replaces Home Theater app with new Media Player

Plex has announced on its blog that its replacing the previous Home Theater application with a completely revised new program called the Plex Media Player. Currently only available to Plex Pass users, the Plex Media Player preview focuses on enhanced media playback, redesigned interface that scales to all screen sizes, and cross-platform support for a variety of devices such as the Raspberry Pi 2.

Once the preview period is over the new program will become available to all Plex users. One of the particular improvements that I'm excited to see especially is the addition of mouse support which was lacking in the previous Home Theater application.
