Fighting game fans don’t have to watch and wonder in regards to Seth Killian’s new baby, Rising Thunder. The upcoming free-to-play fighter, has been running a closed alpha test for a few weeks now and fans have been scoping out the game on YouTube, anxiously awaiting their opwn chance to check out the game. Well, the developer has officially opened up the doors to the public, giving anyone who wants a chance to check it out.
If you want to check it out, all that you have to do is head over to the game’s official website, register a user account, and then download the game’s client. Make sure that you have a fightstick or a controller handy as you won’t want o play this one on your keyboard. I have been playing with the closed alpha a bit over the past couple of weeks and must say that the game is off to a really good start. There is definitely a level of familiarity in the game stemming from Seth’s past with Capcom. The game tries some interesting mechanics though, such as having all of your special moves be time based rather than input based; this means there aren’t any complicated inputs required to pull any of them off, just a cool down period between uses.
We will have a full, in depth preview of the game very, very soon. Until then, why don’t you go ahead and try it out for yourself?
