Empty Clip has announced their new game, Symphony Worlds, and have been kind enough to provide a debut trailer to show off the concept. I had not heard of World's predecessor, simply titled Symphony, but in that original game you take your own music collection on your computer and use the tracks to battle it out against little 2D space invaders. It's basically Guitar Hero meets Galaga. Symphony Worlds is taking that concept to the next level by creating a three dimensional world and putting your ship in the fully destructible environment to fight the forces of evil, again to the background of your music collection but more so by incorporating the tracks as vital elements of the gameplay by using that music to both create the world and fight the monsters that invade it. I just find the whole concept incredibly intriguing. Check out the video below to see what I mean.
The original Symphony is available now on Steam and Symphony Worlds is set for an early 2016 release. More info can be found on the official website.
