Happy Wars accidentally released just now, but don't download it or risk damaging your saves

Happy Wars just posted on Facebook that the Xbox One version of the game was released early through a glitch, but they warn fans not to download it. If you play this glitched version of the Xbox One game and then go back and play the Xbox 360 version, there's a chance it will corrupt your 360 save data. And even though they say damaged save data should be fixed by the next patch for the 360 version, they still request you refrain from download until the official release.

I wonder what happened that made it release early. Hopefully people didn't get caught up in their excitement before realizing there was an issue.
