Phil Harrison has had a long history in video game consoles. After leaving Sony, he went over to Microsoft in 2012 and has been the VP of the Interactive Entertainment Business and EMEA head of games. That time though seems to be coming to and end.
GamesIndustry.biz is reporting that Phil Harrison has left Microsoft and the reason is his frustration over the lack of promotion with all the shuffling that happened the past year and a half. Phil Spencer became the face of Xbox after the departure of Don Mattrick in July of 2013.
Microsoft hasn't confirmed if Phil Harrison has left Microsoft yet, but if this is indeed true and sources have confirmed with GamesIndustry.biz, we should be getting an official word soon.
