The makers of Planetside 2 and the Everquest series is now in the hands of Columbus Nova. Sony Online Entertainment will become Daybreak Game Company and is now an independent developer.
Business will continue as usual with their current titles, but now they have the freedom to make cross platform games. Before it was just PC and Sony consoles. Well, don't be surprised if their future titles also hit the Xbox platform.
The folks at Columbus Nova also own Harmonix, so they aren't new kids to the block of video games. SOE has been working on H1Z1 and are also set to release Everquest Next in the future.
No word on if any previous titles will hit other platforms yet.
