Does anyone remember VD Dev? They’re a small developer that made some of the most technically impressive GBA titles back in the day, and the flawed but ambitious and criminally under-appreciated COP: The Recruit on the DS. A while back I heard they were working on a 3DS third-person-shooter of all things. The game was called Inronfall, but for the longest time it was little more than an eyebrow-raising tech demo.
That has changed. Ironfall is more or less done now, it’s coming to the 3DS eShop next month and it looks incredible. It’ll support the New 3DS’s C-stick for precision controls and has graphics I didn’t know were possible on the handheld. Seriously, check out this brief but tantalizing trailer. Ironfall just became my 2015 3DS sleeper hit.
