Did you see the news from the other day? Plex is now available on both the Xbox and PlayStation platforms, meaning you can stream all of your favorite videos and movies from your home network to your console(s) of choice with ease. If you aren't familiar with the Plex software and application, it makes hosting your own media server super easy and incredibly convenient. With a simple download and installation of the PC software, you can set up your own server to give you access to your favorite music, videos, and pictures from anywhere. Best of all, you can share access to your server with other Plex users and they can even share with you.
Plex, in itself, is free to use, but there are also subscription options available in the form of the Plex Pass. Plex Pass is their premium service which adds a bunch of features including early access updated builds and releases, the ability to wirelessly sync your phone and tablets photos automatically, and the ability to sync all of your content across multiple devices. A Plex Pass is also required at this time to access the service on the Xbox and PlayStation platforms.
There are a variety of subscription options available, ranging from monthly to lifetime offerings. It just so happens that we have a lifetime Plex Pass to give out to one of our readers to get them started with setting up the Plex experience on your favorite console. All that you have to do is leave a comment for us below, telling us which console(s) you plan on using, why, and a means of contacting you (e-mail address) and we will do the rest. We'll select a random person from the list of comments on Monday, December 29, 2014 and get you set up with your lifetime Plex Pass.
So tell us, what are you going to do with your Plex setup?
