At a panel on October 9 at New York Comic Con, Quantum Mechanix debuted in-game footage for Firefly Online. (Be still, my beating heart.)
It shows a character suited up for the airless exploration of a procedurally generated derelict spaceship. The dim environment lets the lighting shine (ha!). And it's an early sneak peek, so I won't get all fanboy angry, but I hope the ship interiors are eventually populated with more than a few bloodsplatters and Asian characters painted on the bulkheads.
And, frankly, if it weren't for the soundbite at the beginning and the folk music soundtrack, you wouldn't know it's Firefly just by looking. Doesn't matter, though. It is Firefly.
Firefly Online is coming to PC, Mac (and apparently iOS and Android) in Spring 2015.
I've never wanted something to fire up a Kickstarter so bad.
