Warner Brothers announced today that Batman:Arkham Knight will be released on June 2, 2015. That's a bit later than a lot of folks were hoping for but it should give the team at Rocksteady plenty of time to polish and perfect the last iteration of their Batman trilogy.
As part of the release date reveal they announced two limited editions of the game. The first is the Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition ($99.99) which will include:
- Custom Art Book – 80 Page, Full Colour Art Book Showcasing the concept art of Batman Arkham Knight
- Limited Edition SteelBook™ – Unique SteelBook™ case and game disc
- Comic Book – Limited Edition DC Comics Batman: Arkham Knight #0 Comic Book
- Exclusive Character Skin Pack – Three Unique Skins from DC Comics – The New 52
- Batman Memorial Statue – Imposing statue commemorating Gotham’s Protector, the Dark Knight
The second is the Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition ($199.99) which includes the following:
- Custom Art Book – 80 Page, Full Colour Art Book Showcasing the concept art of Batman Arkham Knight
- Limited Edition SteelBook™ – Unique SteelBook™ case and game disc
- Comic Book – Limited Edition DC Comics Batman: Arkham Knight #0 Comic Book
- Exclusive Character Skin Pack – Three Unique Skins from DC Comics – The New 52
- Transforming Batmobile Statue – Fully transformable Batmobile statue realised in exquisite detail by TriForce
It's really rare for me to get excited about a special edition of a game but anything that comes with a transforming Batmobile does tend to get you excited, even if it is $200.
