The custom ship creator in Galactic Civilization 2 was a black hole that devoured tons of my personal time when it came out. Countless hours were dumped into turning the stock ships that Stardock created into a fleet straight out of my own nightmares (although limited significantly by my limited creativity).
Today Cliff Harris announced that he is bringing that same kind of functionality to Gratuitous Space Battles 2 and putting his own twist to it. The great thing about this is that the ship creation tool is a bit easier to use that similar tools which is great since your creations will be visible to everyone who challenges your fleet.
This of course means that we'll see giant hordes of space faring genitals as the first rule of user generated content is that people will use your tools to create digital edifices of the human reproductive system.
