There are few genres that I love more than fighting games. Don’t get me wrong, I can hold my own in pretty much any fighting game among my friends, but once I go online and face off against serious players, I usually get my butt handed to me quickly. Patrick Miller, one of the fighting community’s prominent members, is trying to help players like me take the first steps to being more than just a pushover in the competitive community.
Miller, along with experts Seth Killian and Mike Zaimont, have produced an ebook entitled “From Masher to Master: The Educated Video Game Enthusiast’s Fighting Game Primer” and released it to the public for no charge through the Shoryuken website. Granted, reading this book won’t make you a beast online, but it will set you up with the tools which, combined with your dedication and work, could make you the next big game in the competitive fighting game arena.
