Do you love Dark Souls, but sometimes wish it was a little less hack 'n' slash and a bit more point 'n' click? No? Well, all the same, you should take a look at the disturbingly beautiful Tormentum. Inspired by the works of H.R. Geiger and Polish Painter Zdzislaw Beksinski (only click this link if you are interested in seeing some serious nightmare fuel), Tormentum has been greenlit on Steam, and is currently 1/3rd of the way funded through it's fixed-funding Indiegogo campaign. It looks like Tormentum will have all of the familiar trappings of the point and click adventure genre- heavy concentration on riddles and puzzles, and a backpack to keep all of the random stuff that will aid you in your adventure. But the hand-painted visuals and dark, brutal setting are enough have me chomping at the bit for this thing to be completed. According to the campaign page, the dev team estimates about twenty weeks of work to complete the game.
You can give any amount, but at just a $9 investment to get a DRM-free copy of the game at launch, you pretty much can't afford not to get in on this. I didn't know how much I needed a black metal adventure game in my life until I saw this, and it's a mere $6,000 and twenty weeks away from being a thing.
