Well it only took 8 years and two consoles, but it looks like Philips is suing Nintendo over some patents. Game Informer reports that Philips is suing over, "models a user’s body in a virtual environment by animating a virtual body to follow the physical movements of the user".
Why it took Philips so long to file suit, who knows. They are seeking to halt the sales of Wii U and infringing products. That's OK Philips, the Wii U sales have been halted for a long time. Zing!
Nintendo currently has no comment on the matter. Philips is seeking three times the amount valued plus interest.
