Hyperkin is gearing up for the launch of their retro-centric mega console, the Retron 5. In this video product developer Chris Gallizzii unboxes the final console and demonstrates how to hook it up and navigate the menus with the included bluetooth controller.
The Retron 5 boasts support for NES, Famicom, SNES/Super Famicom, Genesis/Mega Drive and Master System games, as well as Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. Supposedly it can output all of these in upscaled 720p through HDMI, and if you don't feel like using the included bluetooth controller you can plug in your legacy gamepads.
The console has seen a few delays due to quality assurance issues and it still doesn't have a solid release date, but hopefully Hyperkin can get those issues squared away so the console can get into retro gamers' hands soon.
