Pier Solar and the Great Architects was a Sega Mega Drive/Genesis homebrew RPG released in December of 2010. In an attempt to reach a wider audience, developer WaterMelon Co. created a KickStarter campaign to make an HD version they could release on modern platforms. The KickStarter met it goal, and the game is set to release sometime this year on a variety of systems, including a Wii U version that would take advantage of the GamePad screen for special features. Now the developer says that a 3DS version may be on the way using the same second screen features.
I have been looking forward to the HD release of Pier Solar for awhile, and now I learn its coming to my favorite handheld as well? Count me in! I can't wait to see what this game is all about when it releases in the coming months.
