Yacht Club Games' retro inspired action platformer Shovel Knight is coming to a gaming platform near you on March 31st (assuming you have a Wii U, 3DS, or PC near you). The game, which was created thanks to a very successful Kickstarter campaign, is an 8-bit sidescrolling action game with a similar style to Megaman, with a series of levels themed after a boss. All of Shovel Knights enemies are knights just like him, and a few examples include King Knight, Plague Knight, and Polar Knight who wields a shovel of his own.
I have been looking forward to Shovel Knight since its announcement and now that I know when it is coming I am more hyped than ever. I'll likely pick it up on the Wii U so I have the option to play on the big screen as well as the GamePad. Did you back Shovel Knight on Kickstarter? Are you planning on picking it up if you didn't?
