Developer Spike Chunsoft released 14 screenshots for upcoming action-adventure, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.
Okay, let's walk through this. First of all, danganronpa is a compound of the Japanese words "bullet" (dangan) and "refutation" (ronpa). Second, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, coming to the PlayStation Vita, is a revised and revamped re-release of the first Danganronpa game, Danganronpa: Academy of Hope and High School Students of Despair, originally released on PlayStation Portable in Japan in 2010 before porting over to Android and iOS devices in 2012. Third, there's a freaky two-faced bear somewhere in the mix.
In Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, the elitist High Hope's Academy high school is taken over by an apparently sadistic bear. Fifteen high school students, including protagonist Makoto Naegi, are essentially taken hostage by the aforementioned bear. To escape, the students must "graduate" from the high school. To graduate, they must kill one of the other high school students and – here's the kicker – get away with it as the surviving high school students investigate the murder. If the murderer is discovered, the murderer is executed. If the murderer gets away with it, then peace, they out.
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc comes to the PlayStation Vita on February 11.
