SteelSeries announces the H Wireless Gaming Headset

Need a headset that's wireless and compatible with a wide range of devices? Well, how about the brand new SteelSeries H Wireless Gaming Headset? 

As the name suggests, it's wireless so you don't have any cords to get between your audio and the system you are using it for. SteelSeries has gone and made the headset virtually lag free and interference free, the latter by dynamically adjusting to a non-congested frequency. 

Let's start with 7.1 Virtual Dolby Surround sound. That should give you some good positional audio so you can hear the battle going on all around you. ChatMix and LiveMix will let you set the audio level between game and voice with LiveMix doing it for you if you want to be hands off that. The headset has a retractable microphone so it can be out of the way when not in use.

Two batteries rated for about 20 hours are shipped with the H Wireless Headset so you can game with one and charge with another. 

The H Wireless Headset can be used with mobile products as SteelSeries ships with a 3.5mm cable to attach the headset with a phone or tablet. When connected to a computer or console, audio is routed through the transmitter box. This box serves as a gateway for audio. 

Available later this month, the H Wireless Gaming Headset is going to retail for $299.99.

The H Wireless is lightweight for longwearing comfort, thanks to memory foam ear cushions and extra padding on the headband, both with a smooth, leather-like surface for passive noise reduction. Users will even appreciate its ability to save up to 5 audio profiles for easy and quick access to customized sound settings when switching from different types of gaming and entertainment. The transmitter is a small, compact box that blends easily into any desktop or entertainment center. Its bright OLED display clearly shows menus and setting options from connectivity to battery, Dolby status and audio settings like LiveMix. It delivers multiplatform compatibility, thanks to an array of inputs and outputs, which includes: USB (mini), Optical In and Out (S/PDIF), Analog In (3.5mm, 3-pole)
