Terraria 1.2 update,
Battlefield 4 beta, and
Grand Theft Auto Online, oh my! I was 99% sure the government shutdown would prevent all those things from happening. Thank goodness for that other 1%. And be sure to
get your hands on a new Razer Naga if you want a new gaming mouse with more thumb buttons than you've got fingers.
What are you playing this weekend?

Last weekend I finally fired up
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, you know, the game that actually came with my Wii U that I've been putting off due to other reviews and
Nintendo Land? Yeah, I figured I'd finally start that up -- and now I'm hooked. I never completed the game for the Game Cube so I'm looking to finally finish this one in the coming months, so that'll take up a bit of my time this weekend as well.

I'll be wrapping up
Shadow Warrior for my review, which so far has been hours of shameless fun. I'll also be getting into
Darkout, which looks like
Terraria mixed with
Metroid so I'm looking forward to that.

It's my child's turn for
GTA V this weekend (shared custody is a nightmare!) so it's going to be all
F1 2013, all the time.

There's always something about stepping into a new ship that rekindles my dirty on-again off-again tryst with
EVE Online. I've graduated from frigates to destroyers, and now I'm moving on up to cruisers. NPC pirates are baffled as they throw themselves against my 220mm autocannons and heavy assault missiles, but I'm having more fun just sliding through solar systems, taking spaceship-selfies wherever I go.

I got to play a little bit of
Windwaker HD today, which, coincidentally, was also my first time ever laying hands on a Wii U. It looks good and plays really well.

I'm going to try
GTA Online sometime this weekend, bugs preventing me from playing the first mission be damned! And I've got
Rune Factory 4 and
Star Wars Pinball on 3DS to keep me busy while I craft endless amounts of basic mats in
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
