Well, this kind of bummed me out. Denis Dyack and his team at Precursor Games
have announced that
Shadow of the Eternals has been put on hold. The game was set to be a spiritual sequel to the GameCube survival horror classic Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, but neither of Precursor's two Kickstarter campaigns met their goals. This is a real shame because their concept trailers held a lot of potential, and I was hoping that Shadow of the Eternals would fit in with the booming indie horror scene on PC these days. Denis says that the project isn't dead, but he and his team are taking a break to take stock of what they've learned from their year of work on the game.
