Want the latest and greatest consumer video card? Then look no further than the
GeForce GTX 780. Today, NVIDIA unveiled their latest flagship video card and it sounds like it's going to be hella fast.
Up to 35% faster than the GeForce GTX 680, the card has 2,304 CUDA cores and 3GB of memory to give you plenty of power. It runs quieter than the previous card. With GPU Boost 2.0, you can do things like set a card to run a certain temperature and the card will adjust its clocks to make it run cooler.
GeForce Experience is a convenient piece of software to let you download game ready drivers and also adjust the games at its best settings. You don't have to do settings by hand anymore if you don't want to to get the best visual experience.
One of the things I'm most excited about that's launching with the card is Shadow Play. Shadow Play can auto record the last 20 minutes of your gameplay and will take advantage of the video card to encode the video into H.264. It can be set always on so you don't have to even think about it. Now, there's no Twitch integration yet, but NVIDIA's going to be improving on this and if they add that in, say goodbye to buying software to do your streaming needs if you're using a NVIDIA card.
NVIDIA was extremely nice enough to send us a card so expect a review next week. If you want the card, you can grab it today for a price of $649
