Mad Catz released the S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 a few months ago giving gamers a very feature rich keyboard. (Look for our review to be posted any day now) But, not everyone can afford such an extravagant keyboard. Enter in the just announced S.T.R.I.K.E. 5 gaming keyboard.
The
S.T.R.I.K.E. 5 is like the S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 with some changes to make it more affordable and improved in a few areas. I won’t go into too much detail as I’ll save that for the review, but the S.T.R.I.K.E. 5 retains the modular design that lets you create a few different configurations that can suit your needs.
Missing is the touchscreen but replaced with some hard buttons and an OLED display that can you show you the apps you are controlling. On the rear of the E.Y.E. as Mad Catz is calling it are audio connectors, something I wished the S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 had, although they had to remove the USB connections to do so.
Here are some more pictures of an unboxing of the S.T.R.I.K.E. 5, but expect a review of the entire product soon. Thanks to Mad Catz for supplying us with a review unit!
