Yesterday before my shift at work I picked up my pre-ordered copy of Kirby's Dream Collection.  I haven't had much of a chance to play it yet, but what I have so far I love.  My only real complaint is the lack of the ability to choose another game on the disc without hitting Home on the Wiimote and choosing to reset.  Still, it's a nice little compilation of six Kirby games and some bonuses.  For those who don't know, here's what you get:
  • Six Kirby games (Dream Land, Dream Land 2, Dream Land 3, Adventure, Super Star, and The Crystal Shards).
  • New challenge stages similar to the ones found in Kirby: Return to Dreamland.
  • An interactive timeline of Kirby's history.
  • An audio CD of 45 songs spanning most of the past Kirby games.
  • A special 20th anniversary celebration book.
For about $40, this collection was definitely worth it, especially the audio CD.  However, as mentioned in the press release, gamers who pick up the game can enter for a chance to win a set of collectible Kirby Round Playing Cards.  More into on that can be found at http://kirby.nintendo.com/clubnintendo.

In yet another display of Kirby-themed excitement, Nintendo fans at the annual PAX Prime conference in Seattle recently found an extra-special way to celebrate Kirby’s anniversary by setting a new Guinness World Records® mark for the most people blowing a chewing gum bubble simultaneously. On Sept. 1, Nintendo rallied 536 participants to chew bubblegum and blow bubbles that resembled the round, pink Kirby character, creating an eye-popping spectacle.
