Three power singles hitting Rock Band DLC next week

Now this is what I am talking about.  Harmonix is bringing two power ballads from the 80’s along with one of Hoobastank’s most popular songs to Rock Band Music Store next week.  Joining Hoobastank's “Crawling in the Dark” will be Cutting Crew’s classic “(I Just) Died in Your Arms” and Whitesnake’s “Still of the Night”.  Needless to say, I will be investing some points to spruce up my Rock Band music collection next Tuesday. 

All three songs will be priced at $1.99/160 MS Pts/200 Wii Pts with “(I Just) Died in Your Arms” costing an $0.99/80 MS Pts/100 Wii Pts for the Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade.

 CLASSIC TRACKS FROM CUTTING CREW, HOOBASTANK, AND WHITESNAKE LAND ON THE ROCK BAND MUSIC STORE!

Cambridge, Mass. – August 3rd, 2012 – Harmonix today announced that tracks from Cutting Crew, Hoobastank, and Whitesnake are headed to the Rock Band™  Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™.

Rock Band provides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than 1,400 artists and more than 3,500* tracks via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/songs). Rock Band’s gigantic music library dwarfs that of any other rhythm video game on the market. More than 100 million songs have been sold through the Rock Band Music Store since its launch on Nov. 20, 2007.

Tracks downloaded from the Rock Band Music Store are compatible with the award-winning full-band Rock Band 3 experience, as well as the upcoming controller-based Rock Band Blitz, coming August 28th for  PlayStation Network and August 29th for Xbox LIVE® Arcade!

August 7th has a triple-threat of popular singles from popular ‘80s pop group Cutting Crew, alternative metal band Hoobastank, and influential British rockers Whitesnake!

Cutting Crew’s power ballad “(I Just) Died in Your Arms” originally appeared on the band’s 1986 record, Broadcast, and not only reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, but was a hit worldwide. “Crawling in the Dark,” Hoobastank’s breakthrough single from their major-label self-titled studio debut, will also be available. Finally, Whitesnake’s popular ‘80s single, the blues-inspired hard rocker, “Still of the Night,” wraps up this week’s exciting additions to the Rock Band Music Store!
