Garfield has managed to take a trip to London, by hiding himself in the luggage of his owner, Jon Arbuckle. Players are asked to help Garfield overcome obstacles and finish exciting missions while fighting opponents, solving puzzles, and participating in racing and flying challenges. Fun tempo missions ask the players to listen to music and help Garfield dance to the rhythm. Varying levels of difficulty allows players to enjoy hours of re-playability.
Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties version takes full advantage of the newest Nintendo DS abilities such as the Dual Screen and the microphone to enhance the game’s interactivity. Game play is a mix of fun platform activities, puzzles, sliding challenges and mazes. Players can even “see” the game through Garfield’s eyes by using the First Person View, or compete in Timed Mode to beat their own or record level time.
“We’re confident that a worldwide audience of Garfield fans, young and old alike will enjoy this story of adventure and teamwork,” said Vice President North America Leah Kalboussi. “Based on the successful reception of our previously released Garfield titles we know that this remains one popular cat.”
The lazy, lasagna-loving, cynical cat named Garfield was created by Jim Davis in 1978 and has appeared in over 2600 newspapers worldwide, garnered 4 Emmy awards and starred in numerous cartoon shows. In 2004, Garfield had his debut on the big screen, and Garfield: The Movie became a $200 million international box office success. The sequel, A Tail of Two Kitties/Garfield 2 was released Summer 2006. Garfield's vast empire stretches into 111 countries, and includes a popular web site, www.garfield.com.
