As much as I complain about Nintendo, they do have one franchise that I hold near and dear to my heart: Pikmin. I was ecstatic to see Pikmin 3 finally revealed for the Wii U at the Nintendo press conference but I will also be the first to admit that this series is far from a system-seller.
The new game looks like more of the same; very little seems to have changed from Pikmin 2 in terms of gameplay but there are at least a new species of Pikmin (Rock Pikmin). The graphics definitely look a lot better running in full HD but I am not sure that the Wii U Gamepad controls will really bring anything new to the series.
