EA sends word that they will be releasing the demo for
Battlefield 2142 on Friday at noon EST. You will unfortunately have to schlep over to Gamespot to download it or you can wait until 9PM EST to download it from IGN (I know, not necessarily a better option). Those who pre-ordered the game will get a 24 hour head start as they will be able to download it through the EA downloader starting at 3AM EST on Thursday morning. The demo contains the usual one level from the game and will give people the chance to check out the new Titan mode before the game goes on sale later this month.
Before playing the game you might want to check out this intro video so you know what you're doing and don't look like a total n00b when you play.
