Battlefield did it, so no it's Call of Duty's turn.
The recently announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 (now forever known as CoD: Blops2) is taking the series in the opposite direction that the original Blops took it in. Instead of the Cold War era, we're moving into the future - the year 2025 to be exact - as indicated by the quadrotor drones and the seemingly unmanned quadrupedal mech.
CoD: Blops 2 (apparently) rides into town on horseback (just watch the trailer) on November 13.
