I'm sure we've all seen videos of people meeting in online games and even getting married (well, at least digitally), but what if you actually got benefits for doing so?  That's where the Sweetheart System comes into play in Spirit Tales.  The Sweetheart System allows players to commit to a relationship with another in-game character and receive benefits for doing so.  These benefits include special buffs when fighting alongside your sweetheart, a love meter that can strengthen the bond between you to unlock additional skills, and a partner teleport that lets you arrive quickly by your partner's side to help them out.  Honestly, it doesn't sound like too bad of a system.
