Earlier today I put up images of the new Angry Birds store located at the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport in Finland and teased that the Angry Birds were International Superstars. Well, I guess I sold them a bit short, as Rovio teased the next installment of the game coming out on March 22nd of this year...with those little bird tangling in the final frontier. You can check out the official site here, which has the trailer below, some wallpaper but very little else.
Fortunately, the folks over at Yahoo’s Plugged In blog were able to get some details on Angry Birds Space. From the sounds of it, the biggest change will be the zero gravity void of space WILL be part of the physics equation when trying to take down those obstacles. In addition, new birds (along with some familiar ones) and new powers will be introduced. Don’t worry if you forget the game is released on March 22nd, as Rovio will be shipping it for both Mobile and retail clients, as well as an animation and media blitz. Frankly, I doubt we will be able to hide from the onslaught. Anyways, check out the teaser trailer below.
