More On: MLB 2K12

Back in November Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers, who is the reigning MVP and AL Cy Young winner, was chosen as the MLB 2K12 cover athlete.  Yesterday, the final box art was chosen for the game.  The art was created by Adam Larson of Adam&Co, who also has worked on the NBA 2k12 box art.  I like the conceptual feel to it, with the wispiness conveying flames for a guy who has no trouble reaching triple digits, even in the late innings of games.  MLB 2K12 is due out early next year and may be one of the last titles to be available on all current gen consoles, including the PS2.  Here are all the covers so no one feels left out:
