"Unbelievable" Rock Band DLC next week!

The folks at Harmonix are dropping a three-pack of Cheap Trick and EMF’s classic “Unbelievable” on the Rock Band DLC pile next week on September 6th. Two of the three classic Cheap Trick songs (“I Want You to Want Me” and “Surrender”) are live renditions direct from 1978’s Cheap Trick at Budokan. The other is the studio recording of “Dream Police.”

Pricing will be $5.49/440 MS Pts/550 Wii Pts for “Cheap Trick Pack 01”, $1.99/160 MS Pts/200 Wii Pts per song and $0.99/80 MS Pts/100 Wii Pts for eligible Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade.

Cambridge, Mass. – September 2nd, 2011– Harmonix today announced that a 3-pack of hits from classic rockers Cheap Trick and a single from EMF will be available beginning September 6th in the Rock Band 3 Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™.
 
Rock Band provides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than 900 artists and more than 3,000* tracks via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/songs). Rock Band’s gigantic music library dwarfs that of any other rhythm video game on the market. The songs in this week’s DLC releases are full of big guitars and even bigger hooks, bringing 4 more party classics to your Rock Band Library!
 
Cheap Trick kick off the week with a 3-pack of their biggest hits. As one of the world’s greatest live rock acts, it’s only fitting that we have iconic live performances of two tracks – “I Want You to Want Me” and “Surrender”, straight from one of their masterpieces – 1978’s Cheap Trick at Budokan. The original studio recording of “Dream Police” rounds out this outstanding 3-pack headed to your console this Tuesday!
 
In addition, Rock Band fans should rejoice with a collective “Oh!” at the appearance of EMF’s 1990 chart-topping hit, “Unbelievable”. This re-record of everyone’s favorite party jam is sure to get your whole band up on their feet.
 
As always, songs available as downloadable content for Rock Band 3 feature five-button guitar and bass parts, drums, Pro Drums, and keys, Pro Keys and harmonies, where applicable. Some songs also feature Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades available for an additional $0.99 upgrade download.
