Capcom has big plans for Comic-Con 2011

Capcom has announced that they will be attending this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, and in a big way. The developer will be hosting a wide variety of panels and activities for attendees and is planning on more than a few surprises.

The panels that have been announced for the show include the following:
  • Street Fighter- Thursday, July 21, 2:15-3:15PM, room 6BCF: Series producer Yoshinori Ono will be on hand to detail the latest progress on the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken game including a couple of exclusive reveals. Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters from the series.
  • World of Capcom- Friday, July 22, 5:00-6:00PM, room 25ABC: Presentations will be given on three of Capcom’s biggest upcoming games- Asura’s Wrath, Dragon’s Dogma, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.
  • Resident Evil- Friday, July 22, 6:30-7:30PM, room 5AB: Capcom is preparing a special celebration recognizing the 15th anniversary of the Resident Evil series including presentations on the next installments in the series: Operation Raccoon City, Revelations, and the Revival Selection. Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters from the series.
  • Marvel vs. Capcom 3- Saturday, July 23, 11:00AM-12:00PM, room 25ABC: Game producer Ryota Niitsuma will be on hand to not only host a special tournament featuring prizes, but to reveal the future of the game.
Capcom will also be hosting a variety of activities at their booth on the show floor including playable demos of their upcoming games, including a title that has not been publicly announced, fighting game tournaments, autograph sessions with various series producers, and the annual appearance of the Capcom store.
