Boulder Dash-XL ready to drop on XBLA

Kalypso Media has finally put a firm release date on the XBLA update to the classic Boulder Dash. Boulder Dash-XL will launch on Microsoft’s marketplace on July 13, 2011 for 800 Microsot points. There is also a PC release coming later this Summer.
Although it may look a little different, the game remains the same with Boulder Dash-XL. Players will race against the clock to collect diamonds and best hordes of enemies in dangerous environments. The game will feature a variety of modes to play, including puzzle mode, zen, retro mode, time challenge, arcade, and score attack. Check out some new screenshots of the remake below:
