Killing Floor goes to--what else--the Circus

Killing Floor
Killing Floor is one of those oddities on Steam. Far more indie and British than Left 4 Dead, it's a bizarre take on the zombie shooter genre to say the least. The latest DLC pack is the Summer Sideshow Event, featuring a brand new map filled with circus-themed enemies, guns and skins. There's also a new Steampunk character pack, just for fun. The event runs from June 30th to July 22nd.
I know Zombieland was a huge hit with, well, the internet (I was rather meh on it) but does that really mean that every zombie game needs a carnival map now? I'm just saying come up with some original ideas, people. It's like how the space marine shooter has ripped off Aliens two decades going.

Killing Floor Summer Sideshow Event!

Given just how much fun we all had with the Killing Floor Christmas Event, we thought we'd have some more fun for the Summer! For inspiration this time, we've gone looking at those wonderful summer carnivals and funfairs that we used to love as little kids. But of course, this is Killing Floor, so it isn't happy funny for little kiddies - it is killing fun for big kids!
We've got a new map for you, for free - the Abusement Park. Populated with sideshow freaks from the realms of someone's fetid nightmare. More new achievements. A new DLC character pack - some of our favorite Perks, gone all Steampunk. And another unlockable character: our old friend Mr Foster "Steampunk'd".
The event runs from 30th June through 22nd July, so make the most of it!

All new level – Abusement Park
All creatures in game replaced with freak-shows themed monsters including Pukey the Clown and his side-kick, the Fleshclown
18 new Summer Sideshow achievements
Unlockable “Steampunk Mr Foster” playable character
Add to that a new DLC character pack: in keeping with the whole Victorian-era, freak-show theme, we thought we would go all Steampunk, with a Steampunk Character Pack. This time, our artists have taken some of their favorite perks and re-imagined them as Steampunk heroes. So now you can have the Berserker, Firebug, Medic and Sharpshooter - all in a way you've never seen them before!
