I was just playing Ultima VI on my EVO 4G yesterday testing out a new HDMI output program and was thinking about how I miss the series and Lord British. Low and behold, we have news of Lord British and his return.
Richard Garriot
will be releasing a game tentatively titled
Lord British's New Britannia this year. It's going to be a social networking game, which seems to be very popular these days. Garriot owns Lord British but not Ultima so that's why he's able to create a game based on his old persona.
After the failure of
Tabula Rasa, it's taken Garriot a bit to get back into gaming between shooting himself into space. Let's hope this one has better success than Rasa did.
