Pac-Man Battle Royale
A while back, I mentioned that one of Namco’s projects to celebrate Pac-Man’s 30th anniversary was a new coin-op game entitled Pac-Man Battle Royale. The 4-player comparative game that pits players against each other as well as the classic ghosts of the series.
Granted, this isn’t something that you will be seeing everywhere as the arcade scene has all but died here in North America, but larger establishments such as the remaining Gameworks locations and Dave & Buster’s. The descriptions that I have read of the gameplay describe the game as having elements of the recent Championship Edition games as players have the ability to reset the maze by consuming the fruit that generates around the stage.
