Namco has finally released some concrete details on the upcoming arcade fighter, Dragon Ball Zenkai: Battle Royale. The game is being developed on the Namco’s System 357 arcade board, which is based heavily on PlayStation 3 architecture. It looks as if the chances for at least a PS3 version hitting the home front if pretty high...
Dragon Ball Zenkai: Battle Royale is a 4-player, free for all online fighting game. Arcade machines throughout Japan will be connected via the internet to allow competitive play from all over. The top two players from each match proceed to the next fight, so you can either team up with a friend or fight it out on your own. The thing that really caught my eye about this game is the new graphical style. Namco Bandai has abandoned the “cartoony” look that the Dragon Ball series traditionally uses in favor of a sleek, rendered style that I feel creates a new style for the game.
