EA Sports has released the debut trailer for the next installment in the Fight Night franchise: Fight Night Champion. You can find the trailer below courtesy of IGN.
The next installment in the franchise is taking things in a slightly different direction this time around. The gameplay is being redesigned based on a new physics-based animation system which is said to include improved locomotion and punching mechanics. The control system is being redesigned as well to present the “most realistic punching system ever seen in a simulation fighting game”. Judging from the trailer below, the game is also following more of a storyline than its predecessors. It appears as though there is an actual campaign / storyline to the events in the game involving your created or selected boxer. Time will tell as the details of the game should soon start rolling in as we approach the game’s planned release date.
Fight Night Champion is scheduled to be released for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on March 1, 2011.
