Spellforce 2 gets a patch and a new contest

Aspr has released a patch for Spellforce 2-Shadow Wars.  The patch includes some bug fixes as well as a brand new map editor for those of you who like to create your own in game content.  In conjunction with the map editor they are holding a contest to see who can come up with the best map.  First place is a 7800GTX video card so you know they aren't messing around.  More details about the contest can be found here.
Aspyr Media today announced that it has released a patch for SpellForce 2 – Shadow Wars that includes, among many other enhancements, a map editor. Spellforce 2 is the intriguing PC game that seamlessly blends RTS and RPG gameplay and features a class-free character system that offers numerous variations on a player’s strategy, giving the game high re-playability.  
Fixes in the patch include:
  • A map editor allowing players to create their own custom levels!
  • Record and replay your multiplayer Skirmish matches.
  • Improved Storm movement
  • The Internet game lobby now shows more than 15 games at a time
  • Spellcasting units will no longer switch targets arbitrarily.  
  • Running Xfire while trying to join a multiplayer game no longer causes the game to crash
