Originally released in Japan for PC in 2005, Ys: The Oath in Felghana is a completely new iteration of the title rebuilt exclusively for the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system. Ys: The Oath in Felghana is an Action RPG driven by fast-paced combat and paired with an intricate puzzle-filled world, designed to take full advantage of the PSP system. Success with Ys: The Oath in Felghana’s action-based real-time battle system hinges on mastery of technique, as each battle is fought on a single life bar. Streamlined gameplay is aided by overhauled inventory and magic systems which seamlessly blend fast-paced action in a new detailed 3D environment with virtually no load times. Playing as Ys series hero Adol, players may choose from one of five difficulties, with an unlockable sixth, and upon completion have access to a new game mode, “Time Attack,” which includes a “Boss Rush” mode and new optional battles for the ultimate in adrenaline-pumping gaming. More than 10 hours of addictive gameplay and fully-voiced cut scenes span the story of this adventure in Felghana, as Adol and Dogi race to save Dogi’s homeland from the clutches of an evil tyrant and the mystical creatures wreaking havoc over the land.
Ys: The Oath in Felghana has a suggested retail price of US$29.99 on both UMD and as a digital download from the PlayStation Store, and is ESRB rated "T" for Teen. In addition to the standard edition, a Limited Collector’s Edition including a soundtrack CD and a 4 inch by 6 inch 2011 desktop calendar featuring artwork from the game is available for the suggested retail price of $39.99 through Amazon.com, GameStop, and other fine retailers.
